SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2016 - “Message in a Bottle”
Over many generations, people used to send messages in bottles in the hope that their request for help would be “heard”. This message became a symbol of hope, gratitude, curiosity and empathy as well as a means of interacting.
Likewise, our planet and society send us warning messages, asking for everyone’s commitment to finding solutions that ensure its sustainability, and thus not compromise the needs of future generations.
This year, we decided to send our sustainability message to our Stakeholders in a bottle.
This message summarises some examples of our best practices developed during 2016 in the scope of the sustainability programme and some of our goals for 2017.
Also this year and for the first time, the HEINEKEN Group’s Financial Results Report was included in the Sustainability Report, demonstrating that sustainability is embedded in the way we go about doing our business.
For SCC, sustainability is a business imperative. We believe that we can really make a difference by setting sustainability objectives across the entire value chain, actively working to achieve the results to which we are committed.
We thank our Stakeholders for their contribution and trust, both of which being fundamental for us to be able to deliver on the sustainability agenda, hoping to keep the existing open and transparent dialogue which has been guiding, challenging and inspiring us to Create a Better World.
